Ice Skating Activities
The Eduskate Program is as follows: The first hour is a tour of the facilities followed by an educational tour of the processes of making ice in the arena. Once that is finished the kids will be putting on skates and will have a short warm up/stretching session before stepping on the ice. For those that wish to participate they will be given a 20-minute Basic Skills lesson on the fundamentals of skating. After that is completed the kids will have freeskate time. It is highly recommended that all skaters wear either a bicycle helmet or hockey helmet and to dress warmly as the arena is cold - gloves or mittens are highly recommended as well. All skaters/chaperones are $2 each (skates included). We can typically do this any day during the week provided that we plan for enough staff and if our skating director is available.
